~~Who Wants to Be a Millionaire Game Comments and Questions~~

I hate having a 1 in 6 chance of winning cash, I want the cash automatically!!! haha -Retom7. I know, in a perfect world, you would just walk into McDonalds' and they would hand you the five bucks, right? .... :-) cheril I sacraficed a small fry to get all the prizes- George J. Please see the following comment and my reply. At this point, sacrificing a prize is unnecessary......cheril Version you have did show the correct answer, but not the prizes! I picked Hash Brown, but decided to forfiet it to get you correct information ;) - Sir Zapper Eeek. At this point, DON'T forfeit any cards for the sake of reporting it here. I guess you missed the 3 notices on the front page, the one on the code page, and the 2 notices on the page you used to submit this information that there are numerous variations to the locations and types of prizes. I appreciate the thought, but next time, enjoy those hash browns. :-) cheril Evidentally Mickey D's makes different versions of the cards that win more than a dollar or so. - Patrick D. Yup. Variations abound. Another thing I have noticed.... The dollar amounts do vary, BUT it seems to be in a pattern. It seems the small dollar amounts are broken down into 3 types. The same question code will be either $1.00 or $2.00. Another will just be $3.00. Yet another will be just $4.00 or $5.00 available. I don't recall seeing a variation of say, for example, a code having a $1.00 prize and a variation with a $5.00 prize. ...cheril The small fry is the worst prize -- you can't get another game piece with it! - Rialtus Actually (at least here in the US) you can't get another game piece with any of the food winners... cheril You know, the statistical chance that the person who has that 1 million dollar game piece got the question wrong or just threw the thing away is huge... that's just depressing =P - Adrian H. I would be very curious to know what the question is. Hopefully its something like "What is the first letter of the alphabet" or "how many letters in the word 'cat'?" But it could get thrown away.... eek! :-) cheril answer 2 was $one ($1.00) not scone (small cone) as your sight said. Somebody must be blind. I would change it if I were you. - Venice V. Wait a minute. I have posted the fact that there are variations to the type of, and placement of the prizes 3 times on the main page, at least once on every single code page, and twice on the form you used to tell me the person who submitted a card varied from yours, and ummm well THEY are blind??? (again I swear I am gonna whip out that <blink> html LOL... :-) cheril i'm love'n the webpage. thanks for getting it so well known! latah's - eternil Thanks! To be honest I don't know how it got so well known this year. The last 4 years, it gets really busy and popular this time of year due to the Monopoly game, but this year it's amazing. I have had my site talked about on radio stations, posted on tons of forums and bulletin boards, featured on a few sites and the url emailed everywhere. I don't promote it at all. All you players do that. Its been great fun. :-) cheril I scratched off Prize 4 because the listed prize was "Small Cone" That is incorrect. It is $one as in MONEY. - J Nuggets, NO.. the information posted is not wrong. There are numerous variations to where the prizes appear. I have that posted 3 times on the front page, on every single code page, and TWICE on the page you used to tell me that it was wrong. hmmm Does <blink> work any more? LOL cheril this is the first time in a year i ate at mcdonalds- Kelly K. I bet McDonalds loves that. Means the contest is working. cheril Stratched off apple pie and decided to check other prizes. Prizes were different than stated on site. - f.b If you get a food prize, the most cash that you could of won is $5.00. I warn you there are variations throughout my site. EVEN IF THERE WAS A TREND, YOU'D NEED EVERY CARD TO FIGURE THE PATTERN. TOO MANY PEOPLE THROW AWAY THEIR CARTON NOT EVEN KNOWING THERE IS A GAME TO BE PLAYED. - VLBAHR1 I disagree with your first statement. With the, literally, thousands of submissions I have received, i think a prize placement pattern, might have become obvious. (assuming it was reasonably simple) Regarding your 2nd statement, yup, and I have seen people trash diving to pull those thrown away cartons out of the trash.. :-) cheril WHERE'S THE PATTERN? - VLBAHR1 ummm you just argued against finding one, in your last submission... cheril IF THERE ARE NUMEROUS VARIATIONS FOR THE PRIZES AND ORDER ON THE CARDS,.....THEN WHAT ARE WE DOING HERE?? - VLBAHR1 More important, why do you keep submitting all these codes if you don't know why you are doing it! :-) cheril yahoo!! taking that to the bank! - survivor! (upon submitting a question code and claiming to win $18,000) LOL sorry. There isn't even a $18,000 prize in either the US nor Canadian version according to the rules. geez... cheril even though i wasn't able to know what prize i'd get, your site help me pick prize #2 and i won $2 (a prize not previously assoctiate with that card) i figured that at least there was a chance the info could help me avoid lame prizes like hash browns and apple pies and it did! - rick. To be honest I am not exactly sure how my site helped.. BUT I am glad it did! :-) cheril This sucks! I got the answer right but I pick the cheesy prize (small fry)instead of the cash. Felt cheated so I scratched off everything. - Michael W. Now you end up with nothing!! boy you showed them!! :-) cheril The first prize on my card is a breakfast sandwich, not $1 as listed on your site. - Lydia. Not surprised. There are numerous variations. You did notice that posted throughout my website, right? :-) cheril I want to know which prize I should scratch off. I had 2 other game pieces and NEW7 was correct according to your chart but S5YJ was not. Your code had $ONE for the first spot, so we scratched it and it was Breakfast Sandwich. Oh well, no biggie. But what do you know about PBXL? Thanks! - MJ Just pick one and scratch it. As I state on my main page, every single code page and twice on the submission form you used to give me this information, there are variations in where the prizes and locations are. Your card probably won't match the ones already submitted. ....cheril Loser card - Dorky ... naw there are no loser cards. Just misunderstood ones. :-) cheril I think all the other people who sent u stuff r crazy. the answers are wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - bob. Hmmm.. another one who needs to put the fry box down and step away from the game... slowly and quietly... :-) cheril The prizes are different than for the question that was originally posted here. - anon. Yup, I state that throughout the website, that there are variations and the prizes and locations will probably not match your card... cheril The one that you have listed does not have the correct answers for the prizes, it messed us up so please fix it for everyone else. Thanks Molly and Jacob.... Ahem. On the main page 3 times, every single code page and twice on the submission form you used to give me this information, I have posted the fact that there are variations in the prizes and locations. The prize information will probably not match your card. If you missed all those, sorry. I can't help you. cheril BlackKnight submitted a code. OMG!!! Be still my heart. :-) cheril Haven't scratched yet, was hoping to find out best prize. - Anon Go ahead and scratch a prize. There are numerous variations, the prize information previously reported will probably not match your card anyway.
Should I know the correct answer? Should I answer the question or wait till I hear from you? - Mardinman ... hmm well no, you are not going to hear from me. I just post the information you provide. I am not the answergirl. :-)...cheril It does not seem to me that the prizes are in a certain order for each card of the same question number. - Bonnie You are correct, I state that at least 3 times on my main page and on every single question code page. (I think I am going to have to resort to the <blink> html code!!!!!!!! :-) cheril Hi
there. I am wondering when you are going to update you site again
with I sent
for 100 game pieces to Lawrenceville, Ga. I am able to obtain
discount postage, so I cut the cost of each game request down to
about 42 cents (including the Cheril-- HOW DOES THIS WORK??? tHIS IS A BUNCH OF CRAP? hhhhhhhhhhewwwwwwwwlllllpppppppp - anonymous Put the Fry Box down and step away from the game before you hurt yourself... :-) cheril Tried to find a pattern. This could get someone a doctorate. - Jennifer W. Or else send someone to the Looney bin! :-) ... cheril There wasn't a number on my game card so that I can claim my prize. I was wondering if you can help me find out how I can claim my prize. (email address edited) - TWEET L. (Reported card with $1,000,000 winner.) I almost helped out tweet, as it was obvious they are very lonely and are looking for email. However, I decided against publishing it, in case it belonged to someone else. Anyway, thanks for keeping the prize claim record up. I am waiting for the next $1,000,000 claim. In the monopoly game, about 4 or 5 people would claim having Boardwalk every year. :-) cheril How many repeats have you had with prizes in the same places, and how many in different places? - sciencewhiz As of 4/30, all but maybe 4 or 5 cards have had prizes reported in different places. But I have had email from people thanking me, after they won money because it was in the same place. I just don't know exactly how many.....cheril The questions and codes correspond, however, the prizes are different on each card. - stakei ....Umm yup. I warn you about that in big red letters on the main page! ... cheril Get outta my way blue hair!!! - Jesse Hmmm I have heard it is not safe to drink and surf. Be careful! :-) ... cheril I'll be pissed if there's a million bucks next to that cone!! - Bo Jangles. Don't worry. The prize list says that food is the consolation prize for the $5.00 and under prizes.... cheril i'm starting to hate hash browns...heywood ... awwww how can you hate those cute little guys??? :-) cheril How do you know they use repeated codes? - Steve M. I have thousands of people submitting the information on their cards, I get a lot of duplicate codes. So far all the questions and answers are the same for each code. Its just the prizes and locations that change..... cheril cool idea, kinda corny to rig a game but good for those people seeking just cash prizes and not wanting another apple pie :) - pshah Ok, I give, who are these people that are NOT seeking a cash prize??? :-) cheril For the sake of the less educated! - D.S. hmm well gee DS that was mighty big of you to take time out of your day and contribute. :-) cheril thanks for the site some q's are tough - michael r. Your welcome :-) cheril How many different codes do they have??? - deliman Good question, but I don't know. I have over 800 listed now. I don't think I am done yet.... cheril This game is so much fun, it is taking over my life. - Big Al ... Oh dear, maybe there will be a 7 step program for the Millionaire version of McDonalds big game. :-) .....cheril too easy - Sir Eric ~ easy one- Brand ~ easy question- SUPERROCK~ Pretty easy question. Can find answer anywhere. - Jackal I see a lot of comments about how easy the questions are. HOWEVER, I receive a lot of lame comments (that will never see the light of day here) that indicate how clueless a lot of people are. I doubt the answers are so easy for them. I am sure the game is aimed at the lowest common denominator. After all, McDonald's wants you to keep playing, and spending more money when you cash in that Small French Fry winner. :-) cheril Added: there are some less obvious questions, that could make a non-trivia buff have to think. Don't know what's $ONE means. Probably the prize of $5 - Jackal hmmm guess the question was easy, but you couldn't figure out the prize. :-) Actually $One means $1.00 not $5.00 ......cheril Hope I didn't miss the million dollar answer. :) - Gimme some cash .....Nope, I don't think so. Based on the prize list, food prizes are consolation prizes for cash prizes $5.00 and under......cheril DO YOU THINK EVERY QUESTION THAT IS THE SAME, HAS THE SAME CORRESPONDING PRIZES BUT IN RANDOM ORDERS - DERRELL C No. the prizes also change, including the dollar amounts. However most of the cards that have been reported have the same dollar amount, just in different places.....cheril Looks like I have the third variation on the same box code. Perhaps McDonald's is slightly more clever than we thought. :) - Crispy - Yup, but it was worth the try. As of today, (Friday, April 27) I still haven't had more than 3 prize variations reported for a question code. If I get 5 or more variations for a question code reported on numerous codes, my prize information will be useless. Just got to wait and see. :-) cheril Anyone notice better chance of cash when picking Prize 2 or 4? hmmm... - PJ Bar code under area you aren't supposed to scratch. - Mike R. As I suspected, what is under the "Do not Scratch" area is one of the things I receive a lot of comments about :-) cheril Yeah, I'll have frys w/ that ;-) - Fotomaki ......a Small Drink is the most useless thing you can scratch off. - Ron W. Small Drinks SUCK! - hannibalspawn hmmm unless your thirsty perhaps... :-) cheril No need to cheat. McDonald didn't require the game to be a "closed book" exam therefore using the dictionary will give the "correct" answer in most cases. Then the fun part is rubbing off the highest prize and it depends on each person's luck. - sam Well, either you already know the answer the or you don't. To a "purist", looking anywhere but in your own brain might be considered cheating. This is just a game though, not to be taken so seriously. Oh and there is no such thing as "luck" its random chance, sometimes it falls in your favor, sometimes not. :-) cheril I scratched off the "Game Card VOID if Removed" spot on another card and found a barcode. - sciencewhiz hehehe I know its a plot ;-) cheril Do Not Scratch Spot: barcode that will be used to verify big winners. Similar to the Scratch off Lottery Tickets - jng That makes sense, but I still think its a big ol' dare ;-) ....cheril If you already have the number listed, but the prize is different or in a different location, is it okay to just list the number and the prize/s? - George J. That is fine, as long as the Question Code is entered, I can locate and update the information...... cheril Where do you get a list of winners? - Larry C From the official rules "For a list of major prize winners (available after September 19, 2001) or a copy of these Official Rules, mail, postage pre-paid, a hand-printed self-addressed stamped envelope to: Who Wants to Be a Millionaire Game at McDonald's, Winner's List or Official Rules, P. O. Box 466144, Lawrenceville, GA, 30042-6144. Only one request for a Winner's List or Official Rules per outer envelope mailed separately. All requests must be received between April 19, 2001 and July 19, 2001." ......cheril Could the variation be printing on the different size fry containers? Maybe it will be important to know the size: med, lg or super as well as the code. (email followed with --->Sorry!!! They are stickers and size would have no bearing. - Jerry S. It was a good idea though. I Include it here in case someone else thinks of it or has thought of it and why (as Jerry pointed out) it really doesn't matter.....cheril hehe.. I won another five dollars! So far I've spent 1.46 on medium fries and earned 10 dollars. 1/6 * 1/6 is 1/36! - Tofoo Wooohooo and who says no one wins the big bucks in these contests? :-) .......cheril *YOU WON A CRUISE* Dear cheril, According to our records, cheril@cheril.com was registered back in May for our FREE cruise packages for two.Congratulations, you WON!!! One of our free Cruise Package tickets will be delivered to you within 7-10 days via US Mail. You must click on the link below and fill out the information exactly as it will appear on your tickets. Complete details on your prize package will be included in a brochure that will be delivered to you. Please
keep in mind that there are at least 50 winners of this trip and
it might take me a little while to get back to you. Thanks a lot,
Pete. oooops
sorry. I am so used to my mail box being jammed this time of
year with 20 or so people all claiming to have the single
BOARDWALK $1,000,000 dollar winner piece, that I kinda missed
it. I just decided to share ~this~ piece of just as truthful
email with you all. LOL :-) cheril I was hoping this site would tell me where the most money was on my ticket. - Brian W. It seems that a ticket only has one amount of money (EXCEPT the very high dollar amount tickets) Your question will be posted and perhaps a couple people will submit the same Question code, along with the various places the money appeared......cheril I could have won the hash brown but i would never redeem it. - Corndog I have redeemed so few of the food prizes. I wonder what the percentage of food prizes redeemed actually is. I bet its not that high.....cheril If the previous entry is correct, I guess this means they randomize the prize boxes, because my #4 was a small drink. =P - Steve L. To this point it means that the money is not always under the same square, but so far I have only seen it under 2 squares for a card. We have to wait and see..... cheril I sacrificed an Apple Pie :) - Tryant Eeeek!!! I am calling the ASPCAP!!! :-) .....cheril There are different questions for Canada and America. You might want to have people say where they are submitting from. - Corndog At this point it seems regardless of where the questions are from the same code number has the same answer.....cheril I was wondering if you could star the ones that have more than one entry so that we can start looking for a pattern. At present time it looks like it is random. - Karen That is because it is random. I only get information that is submitted to me. The percentage of people viewing the site versus those actually submitting is amazing. Who knows what information they may have. But give it time and enjoy the "puzzle".....cheril Someone already submitted this question. However the prizes are DIFFERENT; therefore the code numbers appear to only work to get the correct answer, NOT the best prize. - Indy Fry Guy Yup, but until I verify that there are at least 5 or more prize variations (I only know of 2 now), we still have the edge........cheril Show me the money! - Dean-o LOL.. that really does fit in this game. :-) cheril Interestingly, we got this game piece, and the cash prize was on a different number than the one someone else submitted! It may be that the prizes are not consistent on a particular question. - J.B. So far it seems there may be only 2 prize variations, which still gives us the edge..... cheril Don't answer ANY question incorrectly, just look on the internet to find the right answer. - Paul Good idea, but in my case I just ask my son... he gets so many right, and proclaims "I don't know why I know that, but I do!" Oh and he is only 9!! :-) .......cheril Under the do not scratch is a small bar code. Good Luck! Everyone. - David D. I always wonder why that can't be scratched off. My guess is it is a control number of some sort. Hmm maybe saying "not" to scratch it off, will make enough people scratch it off and void the ticket....... cheril
