 McDonald's Monoply Unofficial Game Site

The FBI reports  having arrested 8 people involved in fraud regarding both the Monopoly and Millionaire game.

One of those arrested is an employee of the  marketing firm that administers the promotions. It is alleged that both the million dollar prizes in the Monopoly and Millionaire game were won by people in cahoots with this employee.

Player's Reactions

The FBI states that allegedly  "prior to distribution, a (marketing firm) employee embezzled the winning high-value game pieces and conspired to have individuals fraudulently claim to be winners."

The marketing firm was contracted with McDonalds.  "According to the FBI, no current or former McDonald's employees, or franchisees were implicated in the compromised promotions. The criminal ring was allegedly led by the security director for ..... the outside company responsible for game security."  McDonalds cooperated fully with the FBI in their investigation.

(Latest News)

There will be 2 new games offered very soon by McDonalds with instant win money prizes.  They are running these promotions because of this situation. The first game will run August 30 - September 3. "During the five-day period, 55 major cash prizes - five $1,000,000 prizes and fifty $100,000 prizes - will be given away at randomly selected McDonald's restaurants." I will post more details on that as soon as I have it.

I have been contacted by the news media, wondering how the players feel about this. I will be happy to share your comments with them.  Submit your comments here.  Or you can  email your comments. (I am posting some comments on the website also)
