What keeps making that noise?

Do you keep hearing dings? beeps? or whatever your default sound is?We are actually playing specific sounds to others. If you have a sound and others in ichat have a sound named the same in their sounds folder you can play that sound on their machine. If you don't have the same named sound you hear your default sound.

Where can I find sound .wav files?

A great first place to get some sounds wav files is Michael's Home Turf.

Your fellow chatters have lots and lots of sounds....you will find most happy to share with you.

I will list other places to get sound files in my Misc. page.

How do you type in pink?

Pink words generaly indicate an action or an emotion. To do your own you, type a ":" before your words and your typing will appear as pink to others and will lack the "says" before it. Experiment and have fun.

How do you do all those actions?

The actions you see are also referred to as emotes. You should see a list of thinks to "do" to the left of the list of folks in the room with you. If you double click on one of those actions.. it will happen to you. If you first right click on a anons name and chose that action, you "do" the action to them. Again, experiment.. keep a sense of humor and have fun!

How do you make those colors?

Below is a list of colors....

(NOTE: I havnt tested these to be sure they work.... if anyone has a better file I can share, I would be happy to do so)

What does LOL and all those other things mean?

They are abbreviations generally used in chat rooms. Here is a list of the most common ones.

LOL = laugh out loud

ROFL = Rolling on the floor laughing

BRB = Be right back

AFK = Away from keyboard

ROFLMAO = Rolling on the floor, laughing my ass off

ROFLMAOPIMP = Rolling on the floor, laughing my ass off, peeing in my pants. (thanks to silly cow for this one!)

There are lots more.... always ask if you don't know.. its ok.

Why doesn't anyone talk to me? I keep saying "Hello"!

You will find that the majority of us in chat are a warm, fun and friendly bunch. If you say hello.. I am sure someone says "hello" back. But to talk you need to just jump right on in. If at first noone seems to respond, just keep talking to us. It gets real busy and sometimes we just can't reply to all the things we want to. It does get read though, and eventually your comments will be replied to. Be patient and have a sense of humor. We love having new folks join us. SO... JUMP ON IN!!!!!!
